Floodlights are ON!

Range now open until 8.00pm EVERY night
The long awaited floodlights were switched on, to much applause, on 22nd September 2018. The evening was a really great success with over 40 people attending - despite the appalling weather. There's still some tweaking being done to make sure the lights give the best coverage but we're pretty pleased with the overall effect.
The outside bays have also benefited from some additional lighting and even the putting green has it's own light. How cool is that! The next stage will be to add some lights along the walkway from the Range to the car park.
So now there's no excuse not to come down and practice in the evening. Last bucket is sold at 7.30pm and it's lights out at 8.00pm!

First ever Blog! How exciting. Well, now we're here we might as well get started.
The driving range at Richings Park Golf Club is now under the complete management of PGA Professional, Colin Ancsell. Since taking over on 1st July 2018 there have been a fair number of changes not least of which are the dedicated Zones, installation of refreshment machines and most importantly, the new floodlights. Application was made years ago but the lights were never installed. But that's all about the change. On 22nd September the new lights will be switched on at a special event to which everyone is, of course, invited. We'll be kicking off at 6.00pm and there are going to be a number of fun challenges for you to take part in. We're also laying on a BBQ and refreshments. The final challenge of the evening will start at around 7.15pm once the lights have been switched on. Festivities will cease at 8.00pm.
